Dr. Nicholas Elwert is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation at the University of Kentucky. He graduated from Lincoln Memorial University-DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his residency training in PM&R at the University of Kentucky. He currently serves as the program director of stroke rehabilitation at Cardinal Hill Rehabilitation Hospital in Lexington, KY and serves as the residency program director for the UK PM&R Residency program. His passions in PM&R include neurorehabilitation, specifically stroke rehabilitation, and spasticity management. He is equally passionate about resident education, diversity and inclusivity as well as networking with the use of social media. While not working, he enjoys rooting for his Cincinnati Reds, Kentucky Wildcats and Cincinnati Bengals and spending time with his family.
